This is probably my favorite cross because of the surroundings. Three ladies do a cross on this little side street every year, and every year it is bigger and better than the last. The plants you see on this street are here year round, not just for the Cruces de Mayo. It is a lovely little street and the 3 ladies involved with the making of the cross look after all these plants themselves. Here goes.
These pictures are great, and it showes why i’ve left my heart in Salobrena.
Ola, there is only one thing for it, you must come back!.. Think the week of the 21-28jun.. this is when we have our Festival of San Juan, this is the big bonfire festival. A huge 3 story bonfire is built on the beach by the city, there is music, dancing, and fireworks. This is also, the only day of the year that you can have an open fire of your own on the beach as well as the only night of the year that you can legally sleep on the beach. This year my friends and I are going to have our own fire with music and food and of course cocktails.. why not come and join us??
