Bird watching is always an enjoyable way to spend some time, so if you have the time make sure you get over to La Charca this week if you can.  Lots of interesting birds to see, in fact I saw my first beautiful Kingfisher there yesterday, three times no less.

I was fortunate to meet a couple of people there, one of which has an interesting website and blog on birdwatching,  so if you are interested check out his blog at http://www.birdingaxarquia.blogspot.com/.

I did get several interesting shots, check out the feet on this Common Coot.

If you are into bird watching, and you are coming to the area, be sure to check out the marshes park located in the Motril Beach region called La Charca de Suárez.  The park is open year round, and covers about 20 hectares in total.    It was a very chilly day with not much sun, but just look what I saw today!
