Romeria 2014 is now just a fond memory.  The weather was fantastic and everyone had a great time.  Up first, the kids.

That’s right, it’s all happening this weekend,  starting with a bank holiday here in Salobreña tomorrow Friday the 7th of October.  On Sunday, you should be on the streets to see the procession at 11am.  Most of the activities will be taking place at the Peñon end of the beach, so be sure to get there early to ensure a good seat or place to stand because be forewarned, EVERYBODY will be at the beach for this annual party to pay homage to our Patron Saint Rosario.  A complete list of events will be posted later today, so be sure to check back.  Alternatively, if you are local, you can pick up a program at the tourist office.

Please forgive me for not posting some of these pictures sooner, but I have just been that busy.  Overall the day was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time.  The weather was a staggering 45C in the direct sunlight..it nearly killed me.  Anyway.. over the next few days, I will be posting my favorite pictures of the 561 that I took.  It’s hard work you know.

Check out the girls in the background.
